Llanafan Farm Sale – Monday 5th September 2022
Sunderlands are pleased to report a tremendous Dispersal Sale at Llanafan Farm on half of Mr & Mrs R Jones. A huge crowd for the Monday sale which saw both local and distant purchasers take advantage of this genuine retirement sale.
We thank everyone for their support today and to local farmers for their assistance. We would also like to thank Roy and Jayne for their kind instructions and help in setting out a very organised and laid out sale.
A complete Mid-Wales sale with machinery and livestock which certainly assisted in a large crowd, the machinery was well maintained and trade throughout was extremely buoyant, which led to some excellent prices being obtained.

Livestock:
A large crowd gathered for the sheep with both local and distant purchasers. Mule Yearlings to £145 twice, with 2’s and 3’s to £155, others at £150 (x3). The speckle yearlings to £140 with others £135 (x3) and £132, 2yr Speckles to £137 and £130 with full mouth ewes from £98 to £127.
Mule ewe lambs to £108, £100, smaller sorts £77-£88. Speckle ewe lambs to £70. Mule ram lambs to £74.50 others £55-£72.
The sale finished with the sheep dog Scott a 4yr Collie that had created good interest pre-sale and flew to £3,500.
