Katie Bufton

Katie joined Sunderlands in late 2018 after spending a couple of years working for a national firm in Kent and more recently Shropshire. During this time, she gained a range of experience in estate management matters including residential, farms, sporting, leisure and commercial properties. Katie has also been heavily involved with farm and land sales and lettings, valuations, grant applications, renewable energy schemes and agricultural tenancy matters.

Katie studied at Harper Adams University obtaining her degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. During her time here, she secured the prestigious Country Land and Business Association (CLA) Charitable Trust Scholarship, in recognition of her innovation in the land management sector. Soon after graduating Katie qualified to become a Member of the Royal Institution  of Chartered Surveyors and was awarded the Elgar Memorial Prize when becoming a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers for obtaining the highest examination mark in Kent.

Katie now heads up the Hereford Rural team alongside Andrew Edwards specialising in estate management, grant applications  and and farm sales, lettings and management, as well as the creation of tenancies and general tenancy advice.

In her spare time Katie enjoys swimming, tennis and helping her husband on the farm.
