Talgarth Christmas Fatstock

Dear Producer,

Re: Talgarth Livestock Market Christmas Primestock Show and Sale of Fat Cattle, Fat Lambs & Cull Ewes – Friday 3RD December 2021

It is that time of year again where we start to organise our Annual Christmas Show and Sale of Primestock at Talgarth Market. It has been two years since the last Christmas Show and sale due to the restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak.

As you are aware, historically this sale has always been very well attended and been a date to mark in the calendar. This year we are going to try and resurrect the seasonal tradition by holding sections for both the sheep and the cattle. The event usually proves to be a sociable and enjoyable day and with your support we hope that it will be again.

I have enclosed a full schedule of the Show for your perusal and we would very much appreciate it if you were minded to enter any of the livestock classes, to complete and return to us the enclosed entry form. Your support would very much be appreciated and we fully expect your efforts to be rewarded on the day.

This year proceedings will be a little bit different as unfortunately we will not be holding the evening dinner, due to the high incidence of covid cases. We hope to return to this next year where we intend to celebrate 100 years to mark the official opening of Talgarth Market in 1922.

On the day, however we will be attempting to revive the seasonal festivities by providing our customers a complimentary Bacon/Sausage Roll, mince pies and beverage! We also invite those who wish to, to join us for a complimentary drink in Gwernyfed Rugby Club a little bit later on.

I trust you find this in order and thank you for your support in anticipation.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Matthew Nicholls B.Sc (Hons) MRICS MNAVA
